Running 13 years strong, Louisiana Spring Fling has been the South’s premier wake festival. Louisiana Wakeboarding is proud to host this year’s Spring Fling and continue the tradition of good times on the Henderson Swamp, just outside Lafayette right off of Interstate 10. All wakeaholics are invited to share smooth water and good times, in a fun filled and exciting weekend in the heart of the Atchafalaya. We encourage all levels of riders to mix and mingle after all Spring Fling is not a contest (however a double-up contest is pending) or competition, but simply a time to get together and progress the sport we love!

Louisiana Spring Fling is an excellent kick-off of the summer season, and the perfect time to try out your new gear, demo your latest products, and see what’s happening in the wakeboarding community. Rally the crew, grab your gear and get down to the swamp to enjoy the best Louisiana has to offer. Free rides will be hosted on Henderson Swamp all weekend, and be sure to stick around to try out the latest products from LSF sponsors, hang out on host houseboats, and enjoy all of the local nightlife that Lafayette has to offer…

Louisiana Spring Fling 2011 will be held the weekend of June 10-12

THE NEWS YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!

We just got word that Henderson is open and conditions WILL be favorable enough for us to move forward with hosting Louisiana Spring Fling on the Henderson Swamp! We ask that everyone make plans to launch at McGee’s Landing since water levels may still be too high to use the Butte La Rose launch.  Boaters, please remember to use EXTREME caution as water levels in the basin are slightly higher than normal.

LSF ’11 will kick off Friday at 1:00pm at ShredX Water Sports with a DJ, meet & greet with Ricky Gonzalez and a best trick contest at 4:30pm. There will be an entry fee of $20 per rider to ride in the competition, all riders are welcomed. After the comp is done, we’ll move the party to b.e.d Nightclub & Lounge on Jefferson St in downtown Lafayette. Saturday, June 11, 2011 will be an all day free ride on the Henderson Swamp, after party to follow at b.e.d Nightclub & Lounge.  Finally, we’ll close the weekend up on Sunday, June 12, 2011 with an all day free ride on the Henderson Swamp.
