LCWT hosted by La Tech Wake

Louisiana Wakeboarding September 12, 2011 Comments Off

Were backkkk! The tour is up and official! Last spring, Baton Rouge and Monroe stops went off with a hitch. The Monroe stop was a blast with a good crowd on hand to watch it all go down. So this season we are stepping it up!

The first of the 4 tour stops will take place on Lake D’Arbonne on September 24, 2011, just north of Ruston and hosted by the home town guys, La Tech Wake. The tourney will go down on hopefully the west side of the HWY 33 bridge. There is a beach and plenty of viewing area all along the bridge. If wind blows that side out we will be on the other side of the bridge. There is still plenty of viewing area and a camp site on this side. Also bring your boat! Lake D’Arbonne is a great place to ride! With several open ski areas you can ride all weekend long! We will have a DJ running the tunes all day. There will also be energy drinks for the taking!

Accomodations

We are planning on have a camp site literally next to the ramp. You will be able to set up tents on top of the shore with plenty of viewing of the lake. There is also a hotel right across the bridge called D’Arbonne Lake Motel. 1 Mile across the bridge is Famerville. There is plenty of food in Farmerville including a seafood place at the other end of the bridge. Famerville is a little town, we won’t be too close to anyone but please remember to be respectful!

Format

The LCWT rider format will be bring what you have. Everyone will ride if they wish to. The divisions will be beginner, intermediate, advanced, open, girls, and skate. Teams will not be required to have a certain number of girls, skaters, etc. Each team can bring any combination of riders they wish. There will be no limit to the number of riders each team can bring. Scores will be based off of individual riding then added to the team score. Each division has a multiplier: beginner is x1, intermediate x1.5, skate and girls x2, advanced x2.5, and open x3. Example: if your team has an intermediate rider his/her score will be multiplied by 1.5, then his/her multiplied score will be added to the team score. Small prizes will be awarded to each individual that places 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Each tour stop will have a 1st and 2nd place team winner. Team points will carry from stop to stop, points earned at the first stop will be carried over to the next 2 stops and so on. The carried over points will not count to determine the stop winner but will be totaled after all stops to determine the tour winner. Prizes will be awarded to stop winners and a larger prize will be awarded to the tour winner.

Insurance and Fees

Insurance will be provided by USA Waterski. ALL riders must have a USA Waterski membership card, membership cost is $35 per rider and provides each rider with additional insurance. Everyone needs to make sure they have their USA Insurance card from last semester. IF YOU DON’T, bring $35 to the event and we will sign you up there.

The team fee for all 4 tour stops is $100, individual fees for each tour stop is $10. Money collected from team fees and individual fees will be used for boat fuel, any extra will be divided equally among teams.

Every team needs to submit a list of riders that will be participating. Not all members are required to ride at each event. If a rider is not on the list, they will not be allowed to ride at any event until the next year. Add as many members as you please; it does not cost to submit their name.
